We’re planning a farm of at least 20 lifestyle blocks on a single section, with its own power, water and wastewater treatment, all on site. Register your interest to hear first as plans take shape.

The idea

Space of your own, as part of something bigger.

A lifestyle block gives you room for a home, a big garden, a few animals and plenty of quiet. Here you get all of that as part of a farm of 20 or more blocks, alongside neighbours who’ve chosen the same way of life.

What sets it apart is what’s underneath. Power, water and wastewater are planned into the farm from day one, not bolted on later, so it runs without the national grid, a town water supply or a council sewer.

It starts on a single section, and could grow into multiple sections later.

Self-contained by design

Power, water and wastewater, all on site.

The three essentials every home relies on are produced, stored and treated on the farm itself. No power poles, water mains or sewer pipes coming in from outside.

    Solar generation and battery storage keep homes powered without a connection to the national grid.

    Rainwater is collected, stored and treated to drinking-water standard, with no reliance on a town supply.

  • WastewaterCleaned and returned to the land

    On-site treatment cleans wastewater and returns it safely to the land. No council sewer required.

Specific systems and capacities will be confirmed during detailed design.

It’s early days, so some answers are still being worked out. Everyone on the list hears as soon as they are.

What is a lifestyle block?

A rural property that’s bigger than a town section but smaller than a working farm, with room for a home, a big garden, some animals and plenty of space. People buy them for the way of life rather than to farm commercially.

What does “fully self-contained” mean?

Power, water and wastewater are all handled on the farm. Nothing depends on the national grid, a town water supply or a council sewer.

Where will it be?

Location details will be shared with everyone on the list as soon as they’re confirmed.

How big will the blocks be, and what will they cost?

Block sizes and pricing haven’t been set yet. Registering is the best way to hear about them first.

When could I move in?

There’s no firm date yet. Timing depends on design, consents and building the infrastructure, and we’ll share a timeline as soon as there is one.
